Abstract:

Trailer parks in Wyandotte County, KS, represented as a point feature GIS layer dataset, furnished in ESRI shapefile (.shp) file format, in Kansas North State Plane coordinate system, Datum NAD83, Units feet.
Also known as mobile home parks, these are areas equipped to accomodate mobile homes or house trailers. Location points are placed in approximate geometric center of trailer park grounds.Standard attribution is included in the dataset, including facility name, address, and contact info if available.
A companion trailer park grounds polygon feature layer is available.

Purpose:

Serves as a supplemental cultural themes GIS layer to support the Unified Government's Enterprise GIS system.

Empty feature class layer was created (adding standard attribution fields used by GSS, plus several new special purpose data fields) and populated with point records from original trailer parks GIS dataset from MARC (which was first transformed to KS N State Plane from MO State Plane coordinates).
Each record was reviewed for accuracy and relevance, using GIS parcels layer and 2010 digital ortho aerial photography for validation (among other sources).
Attribution was updated as necessary, and new records created (3).
QAQC was performed. 
Dataset published into GSS data repository.
